Project-Specific Settings files. Auto-export into package?

Question

When creating sdlftsettings, is it possible to automatically export any settings files that were used in the project, into the Studio packages? Is this something that could be added to that last screen when creating packages, where you can include TMs, Termbases, Project TMs, et al? This way, you would know that the settings file used in the project prep is available to the linguists when they open the package. 
 I know you can go to File Types | Export settings, but I am wondering if there is an automated way to do this, to ensure the correct settings file is used.

Hi Mindy,

There should be no need. If you create a Project Package that contained custom filetypes then these should be in the Project Settings for that project when the recipient opens the package to create the project.

Does't this happen for you? What version of Studio are you using and what version of Studio is the recipient using? Also what filetype is this you are using?

Hi Mindy, 
 
It could be that if the recipient looks in the project settings, then clicks on filetypes, that there will be a small blue hyperlink in the right-hand pane that says "Additional filetypes exist". If they were to click on that they could select the custom filetype and it would be available to them. Worth a look because this should be just fine as long as the filetype is compatible between versions.
