TMX Import - Custom Field values not imported

I have a .tmx file i wanted to import through Trados Studio 2014 SP2 into my GroupShare TM.

Import runs fine but the values of my custom field values are not imported.

Am i doing something wrong here?

  • Hi Konrad

I think you are not doing anything wrong here :) Do you know from where this TMX file was exported?

What you can try (as I have no further information so far):

    1. In Studio go to the Translation Memory view

    2. Click on Upgrade Translation Memories that you can find in the "Home"-tab of the Studio ribbon.

    3. Press Add File-based TMs... and browse to/select your TMX and go through the wizard using the default settings to create a file-based Studio TM.

    4. After the upgrade is finished, open the file-based TM in Studio and check first if the custom fields are there as expected.

    • If yes, run an export of the TM into TMX and use this TMX for the import into your server-based TM.
    • If no, I kindly ask you to log a ticket with our support (I see you have a PSMA) and provide the TMX so we can review/check on our side. To do so go to https://gateway.sdl.com/login?retURL=%2F  and login with your credentials.
    Kind regards
