Dear Studio 2015 users,
I seem to have lost the Studio icon for Studio files since I migrated to Windows 10. Instead of displaying the icon that shows the file is a Studio file (be it a TM, termbase or sdlxliff file), now I only see a generic, plain icon next to Studio files.
Is there a way to bring back the correct icons for these files?

Steven, I have tried the solution from your video, but it didn't work for me :(.
My problem isn't only that the icons are not showing properly, the problem in my case is that the file associations have been lost and I can't seem to restore them. It all started when I upgraded from Studio 2015 to 2017, when I uninstalled Studio 2015 the file associations were lost, so now I can't see the Studio file (sdltm, sdlproj, sdlppx, etc.) icons properly and also I can't double click on them to open them in Studio, I have to open Studio and load them from there.
I have tried several things to try to fix this, but none of them worked until now =/.
Thanks for your effort anyway :).

There is one more place where you can associate file types with programs, not sure if you've already tried it?
In the Windows 10 operating system there is a 'Choose default apps by file type' option, you can search for it among your system settings. Previous Windows version also have the same functionality I believe.
All file types, even the SDL file types are listed there, and you can check whether they are correctly associated with Studio, and make changes, if necessary.

The only problem there is... How does one avoid every filetype then having the same icon, i.e. that of the program itself, either Studio or MultiTerm?
Can I suggest reinstalling SDL Trados Studio 2015, checking for updates then make sure your version of MultiTerm is up also to date by opening it and checking for updates. Then run a Windows Repair on both.
Then, if reinstalling has not solved the issues you can ask someone at SDL for free help, here:
