Error Messages when trying to merge TMs

Question

Hi! 
 When I try to merge some TMs (via the "update"-function), I get two error messages: 
 1. A filed with the specifiedname already exists. (I tried to solve this via changing the name in the "custom" area, didn*t help) 
 2. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Hi Christina, 
 
Try copying your TMs into a new folder and then merge them again. I'm not sure what's causing your issue but having a clean location might help. 
 
I'd also be happy to have a go at these for you to see if I get the same problem... so if you are ok sharing them with me? 
 
Alternatively, go the long way around: 
 
1. Create a new TM with the appropriate fields and attributes (if needed) 
2. Export your two TMs to TMX 
3. Import the TMX into your new TM
