TMs attaches with AnyTM are not active in packages

Dear all,

have you experienced this as well?

A project is created with TMs via AnyTM. The packages are allowed to contain the master TM.

But when the package is opened on the translator's machine, the AnyTM TMs will be deactivated. The user will have to delete them out of the project and attach them again manually.

This somewhat defies the idea of a package for the translator.

Can you confirm that this is happening for you too? Has anyone an idea how this can be avoided?

thanks,

Angelika

  • Hi Paul,
thanks for getting back on this so quickly.
I used Studio 2015 SR2 for both, creating the package and opening the package.
The package opens in Studio and you do not get any messages during package import. But when you check the project settings for the TMs, you will get a message that "The translation provider AnyTM: TM Name.sdltm could not be opened and has been disabled." The AnyTM still appears as a TM in the list, but when you try to activate the checkbox to enable the TM the same message appears again. You will have to delete the TMs out of the list and add them through AnyTM again.
Does not really look like a feature to me, but more like a bug :-)
    Can you confirm this behaviour?
    Thanks,
    Angelika
