New stored work disappears randomly up to a certain date.

Question

Hello, 
 I work with Trados since several years and everything went well, since some days ago. I have a long list of projects stored in my project page of Trados, and every day, the new translated works were stored on top of the list. Since some days, the new stored works disappear when I close the computer (all older than a fixed certain date remain stored nonetheless). That is very bad, because some works are longer and take more than one day, so if my computer closes by himself,. I lose all the done work. What can I do? 
 I already updated Trados and Windows but that does not seem to help.

Hello Lorenzo, 
 You can set different locations for different Project Templates, so can be quite flexible. The default is normally here: 
 c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2015\Projects\ 
 But you can define the locations per template here: 
 
 If you don't set one then it will use the last location you used. But if you set one then it will use the location you set whenever you use that template. You can find your project templates in File -> Setup -> Project Templates

Just to rule out the most obvious: make sure that you don't have any filter set in the left pane of the Project view, so that Studio displays all projects in the list. 
 
If after having reset the filter, you still don't see your project, then open it manually using the command "Open Project" and navigate to the project folder in which you stored this project. Open the .SDLPROJ file and your project will show up again in the list of projects.
