New stored work disappears randomly up to a certain date.

Hello,

I work with Trados since several years and everything went well, since some days ago. I have a long list of projects stored in my project page of Trados, and every day, the new translated works were stored on top of the list. Since some days, the new stored works disappear when I close the computer (all older than a fixed certain date remain stored nonetheless). That is very bad, because some works are longer and take more than one day, so if my computer closes by himself,. I lose all the done work. What can I do?

I already updated Trados and Windows but that does not seem to help.

  • To follow it it would be useful to tell Trados where to store the work. Therefore, again, my question: where can I setup the default storage location for new projects?

Studio behaves like a human being - it stores the files there, where it have been stored last.
You can use the option Paul mentioned, but this means, that every single project you create must have an unique name.
I know nothing about your customer structure, but whatever way you chose, it will be certainly necessary to have their projects separated. So while using templates you have to have a different template for every single customer.

Please do not forget the backup!
