memoQ Xliff Filter in Studio 2015- content missing after target saving

Question

Hello, 
 I would like to report a bug that occured when I created mqxlz file of a doc file in memoQ. 
 I imported a doc file in memoQ: 
 
 Segment in memoQ looks like this: 
 
 Here is the corresponding part in mqxliff file: 
 
 In Studio everything looks fine, too: 
 
 But after target saving the mqxliff does not contain the full content anymore: 
 
 After import to memoQ it looks like this: 
 
 It seems that for some reason part of the segments content was cut off. I would assess this as a bug that should be fixed in the filter.

Hi Mitja, 
 
I think we need to see your files before we write this down as a bug. Can you share the mqxliff file you created first of all, then the fully translated sdlxliff file? 
 
I'd also be interested in your workflow here. Why are you doing this? Seems odd to prepare a DOC in memoQ and then translate it in Studio when you could just handle the DOC in Studio in the first place. I don't see the purpose of using memoQ in your workflow here.

That's a good usecase... thank you. To answer your question can you also share some examples of the mqxlx out of memoQ and then the fully translated sdlxliff file? I need to be able to see both to figure out what's wrong here.

Hi Mitja and Richard, 
 
The problem here, for Mitja anyway, is that the imported files into Studio were not fully segmented. So Studio finishes them off the way Studio would use them, and then the corresponding memoQ import doesn’t work properly. If you want to work this way you must make sure you fully segment the files the way memoQ wishes to handle them. This means copy source to target in memoQ first and then export them. When you do this Studio will take what’s in the files, and all the tagging as required by memoQ to handle this properly, and it should work fine. 
 
I prepared the memoQ file in the test files from Mitja and redid the translation in Studio and when I imported the translated file back into memoQ it looked ok to me.
