Concordance search does not recognise identical terms

Hi, only just joined, so very new at this sort of thing and cautious of inadvertently breaching forum etiquette. Not even sure if I'm in the right place. Just installed 2015 Freelance - very reluctantly as I've been a long-term user of SDLX 2007. I don't like Studio, but am pretty much compelled by the translation industry to use it. Bitterness and inexperience aside, I'm having trouble with the F3 concordance search - it's getting hits for some previously-translated terms, but not others (where there should be a 100-% match). Presumably some setting needs tweaking somewhere? I'd be grateful for any help.

TIA,

Chris

  • Hello Chris,

If you go to "Project Settings \ Language Pairs \ All Language Pairs \ TM and AT \ Search" you can lower the the "Minimum match value" (which is set by default to 70). This is especially useful if you are running a concordance search on a larger string of text.

It would be also good to know if you are working with multiple TM's and if the concordance search is enabled for those memories. You can check this if you go to "Project Settings \ Language Pairs \ All Language Pairs \ TM and AT" and see if the "Concordance" button is enabled for the TM's in the list.

    Best Regards,

    Vlad
