Can SDL Trados Studio work on "xxx.png" format files?

Question

Hi experts, 
 I have a simple question - can SDL Studio handle "xxx.png" (portable network graphic) format files ? 
 i.e. can I load ".png" format files into SDL Studio for translation ? 
 
 For me - as the file suffix suggests - it is a graphic file and I doubt if it can be opened in SDL Studio. 
 My attempt to open it in SDL Studio confirmed that. But perhaps there are ways to overcome this hurdle. 
 If yes, could someone help me with how to do this please?

Hi Shyam, 
you can try this: save your png in pdf (for example with Acrobat with the best possible image quality = no image compression) and load the pdf in Studio. Studio has an internal OCR algorithm which will extract readable text. 
I used this function a few weeks ago to make a rough analyse of flash files. It worked very good as long as the images were not compressed at all.

Hi Shyam, 
I used Adobe Acrobat Professional. 
You can also ask google with "png in pdf" and you may use one of the online converters. 
And gimp gives you also such a possibility...
