STUDIO 15 - Error messages when trying to open translation in progress

Question

I just wanted to continue working on a translation in progress and received the following error messages: 
 
 Value cannot be null. Parameter name: array 
 
 and then 
 
 Object reference not set to an instance of an object. 
 
 I'm pannicking .... where's the stuff I've translated so far? Cannot find any related entries in the TM. 
 
 Also, I cannot exit STUDIO. Not via Exit in the menu, nor via top right or any other ways of closing an application. 
 
 Any help appreciated. I am aware that at least the second message has been discussed before, but always in a different context. Should there be a solution which I have overlooked, could you pls point me in the right direction. Thank you very much.

Hi Ulrike, 
 
You should be able to close Studio through the Windows Task manager, and then I think it would be worth doing a reset. Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\12.0.0.0

And it did the trick. All my stuff is back. I should stop panicking and think first! Sorry for wasting your time.
