Object reference not set to an instance of an object when converting into translation format with Trados 2015 and all updates

Question

There is only one file in this project that encounters that problem, a quite big .docx file. I tried saving it with a different name and it did not work. I repaired Trados, the Word-file, I tried it on both my computers, nothing works. Any suggestions?

Did your try to use the Word 2007-2016 file type? 
If not, please remove the problematic file from your project. Go to file types, deselect Word 2007-2013 and make sure only Word 2007-2016 is selected. Then add the file to the project and try again. 
Should that not help, most probably there are some problems in Word, like corrupted table of contents. Sometimes removing all hyperlinks will help. To do that for testing, open Word file, press CTRL+A in Word and then CTRL+SHIFT+F9. Save the file under a different name and try with this one. 
If still no success, try to save as DOC instead.
