Unreliable Term Recognition

Is there a solution to the unreliable Term Recognition in Studio 2015? Term Recognition is a very useful facility but Studio 2015 seems to "forget" older terms. By forgetting, I mean that they are not displayed in the Term Recognition list although they are present in the associated (active) Termbase.

  • Hello Anthony,

We have seen something similar to this effect caused by terms not really being saved properly in the first place. So whilst everything seems to be working, under the hood the terms are not being committed to the database correctly. This can be caused by network interruptions for example, so if you are hosting your termbase on an external drive, or sharing via dropbox... these would be typical examples of where this can occur.

If this is the reason then we have a fix that is being tested, but no definite dates for this yet. Could this be the reason for you perhaps, are you hosting your termbase somewhere other than in your local machine?

    Regards
