SVG is XML inside, so basically some xpath expressions in an XML configuration should work. I used to have a solution for that, but it was in pre-Studio era an involved Okapi Rainbow (a free toolkit that can pre-process and post-process files before and after translation, among other things). Unfortunately I do not have the configuration files. There is a slight chance I might find them, if I dug hard enough in my e-mail archives.
