Suddenly the command Ctrl+C closes Studio! Not every time, but often enough to be extremely irritating. What should I do to avoid this?

Don't use Ctrl+C ;-)
Only kidding.... it sounds like a keyboard clash somewhere. Maybe check these keyboard shortcuts in Studio first:
If this doesn't help then perhaps check some of your other applications that also use keyboard shortcuts. Easiest way might be to make sure nothing is running in the background apart from Studio, test this problem and if it doesn't happen add an application back in, repeat and test.
