Trados Studio 2015 Retrofit error: "Internal error: Multiple tags with the same ID 'X' have different start tag properties."

Question

Hi there, 
 When I try to update my file sdlxliff file with the corrections made in Word using the Batch Task "Update from Reviewed Target File (Retrofit)" I constantly get this error: 
 Internal error: Multiple tags with the same ID 'X' have different start tag properties. 
 
 One of my main reasons tu upgrade to Studio 2015 was this "so useful" feature. When I tried it in the demo version, it worked, but now I almost always get this error. So in the end I have to update my file manually entering again the changes or go through an time consuming alignment process that I could have equally done with my Studio 2014. 
 It doesn't have to do with the extent of changes made in the word file, as I have read in some reply to similar questions, because I have also tried with an exact file with no changes at all. 
 Please, anyone knows a way to avoid this error, o will SDL fix this in a future update??

Hi Sandra,

I get this error in Word files that have page number fields with the "Page X of Y" format. The only workaround I have found so far is to temporarily replace the fields with some placeholder text and then restore them after the file has been processed in Studio.

Hi both, 
 
This doesn't seem to be a consistent error for me. Can you give me an sdlxliff and source file that does this? If you can do this all the time then just create a simple test file I can use for investigation, doesn't have to be your clients files. If this helps us to identify where this is coming from then we can fix it.
