How to get an accurate project analysis that includes AnyTM TMs?

Dear Studio 2015 experts,

A long-time client of mine has recently started to use Studio and they send me Studio packages where the target language is different from most of my TM resources.  (It's still the same Traditional Chinese, but they use ZH-HK to create their packages and I use ZH-TW.)

Now, when I add my ZH-TW TMs to their package/project using AnyTM, Studio doesn't seem to count my TMs as part of the project.  So when I run an analysis, Studio would not include my TMs and thus I couldn't see how my TMs will change the match breakdowns.

Is there a way to allow Studio to include these AnyTM TMs when running an analysis?

Thank you.

Chunyi

  • Hi Chunyi,

Studio does allow and use AnyTMs for the analysis. I just added an en(GB) - da(DA) TM to an en(US) - fr(FR) project and tested it, the results were the same as if I was using a normal filebased TM.

I would check the project settings again and make sure that they are all set up correctly.

If you think they are then try setting up a little experiment of your own by creating some new TMs in the appropriate languages and test few segments. If you can verify it works then at least it'll narrow down the search for the problem in your real project.

    Regards
