Drag and drop from source to target in Studio 2017?

Hi,

I might not be in the right place, sorry for this.

I am using SDLX since 2006 and Studio since the beginning.

I miss a feature that was in SDLX but still isn't in Studio: drag and drop from source text to target text.

For example if I translate a text related to motor sport competition, I need to keep drivers, makes, sponsors, cities, tracks names identical in the target text, so I use copy & paste.

Quickplace is useful for very few items in that case.

The quickest way I have found so far when there are a lot of names in a source segment is to copy/paste the whole paragraph and then edit it.

The drag and drop feature would also be interesting for tags when there are many of them.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Eric

  • No problem. The only culprit here is, that your answer does implicate, as would that be possible in the Translation Results View. Unfortunately there it is not possible, you can only use CTRL+C there. The shortcut you quote is the default one to insert text selected in the Concordance view.
