Retrofit: "No Valid Files for Retrofit". Now what?

Question

OK, so I made a few last-minute edits to my target .docx, saved and closed it and then did: Batch Tasks > Update from reviewed target file

I also tried making a copy of the target file, removing all comments in the original, accepting all tracked changes and switching off Track Changes.

Apologies for the delayed response to this one. Can you confirm these are also switched off in Studio and not just in Word? Or is this what you meant?

Here's what it says in the help: 
 
"Before you can update the file from reviewed target file, make sure the file does not contain any track changes, TQAs or comments, as these would conflict with the imported changes. Also, you cannot use Retrofit on merged project files or on files merged from the Files view." 
 
I take "the file" to refer to the sdlxliff as this is the file you are updating. So yes, I think you do have to remove these things. Does it help if you do this?
