Trados freezes when adding a comment or changing the settings

Question

Hi, I have been using SLD Trados Studio 2015 for a few months and I recently started to get an issue. Every time I try to add a comment or change the settings it freezes and I have to quit it through the task manager. I am using Trados on a MacBook, using Windows through Parallels, so I don't have an antivirus and all Trados folders are on my desktop. Can anyone help with this? Thanks!

Hi Irene, 
 
Perhaps a reset would help here? Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\12.0.0.0 
 
That may help to clear whatever is causing the issues.

ok. Can you try turning off your Anti-Virus just temporarily and see if the problem goes away? It may be that an update you had is going to require you to add Studio as an exception. But check first and see if this makes the problem go away?
