Hi,

I seem to have the same problem today. After Windows apparently installed an update overnight, I'm now unable to open the project I've been working on for the past couple of weeks - as the deadline looms next week.
I've tried opening Studio 2019 directly, as normal, and tried opening the project file from the project directory, but I always get an error message (in German) stating that the project couldn't be loaded:
Error in XML-Document (2352,52). Unexpected end of file. The following items were not closed: Setting, Settings Group, Settings Bundle, Settings Bundle, Settings Bundles, Project. Row 2352, position 52

Fehler im XML-Dokument (2352,52)

Unerwartetes Dateiende. Die folgenden Elemente wurden nicht geschlossen: Setting, Settings Group, Settings Bundle, Settings Bundle, Settings Bundles, Project. Zeile 2352, Position 52

So, the source/location of the problem is pinpointed, but how can I correct the file?

I don’t have access to a computer to check anything, but that end of file error message suggests the sdlproj file has been truncated. You can check that with a text editor and simply check to see if it’s well formed or not.

as a blanket solution you could try this.

1. Copy your project files somewhere safe
2. remove the original project from its current location altogether
3. recreate the project again
4. use the new sdlproj you have just created to replace the one in the project you put somewhere safe in 1.
5. remove the new project you just created
6. copy the original project, with the new sdlproj back onto the original location

Alteenatively, if you only have a few sdlxliff files in the project, you may be able to simply open the sdlxliff files in the target folder as a new project and save the target files from there.
