Creating correctly a project in Trados 2015

Dear Collegues,
After receiving from the customer the following files I should like to know the steps how to create a project:

1. *.sdlxliff

2. *.tmx

3. *.sdltb

    Hi Michael,

    There a number of ways you could do this, but here's the easiest way for someone who has never used Studio before and doesn't have any existing resources... which I presume you don't given your question.

    Dear Paul,
    Thank you, as usual you provided a good helping hint.
    I should like to put an additional question: I have to translate 2 big files with 2 different deadlines. So I will translate the first file and send it to the customer and send the second file later. These files handle the same content. Normally I open the 2 files simultaneously to do a consistent translation. But I think, when I translate the second file later and using the same TM the right terms will get caught and it will work like this. What do you think is the best way?

    Dear Michael,

    If you have two files to handle then I'd take a different approach and I would create a Project rather than handle them as single documents. It's just neater. You can add both files to the same project if you do this. You can also open them both up together and have the files autopropagated as you work. But if they are really big files (so in excess of 10k segments say) then you may find you suffer with performance issues so it would probably be better to open them one at a time. Finish the first one and when you are ready to start the second pretranslate from your TM that will now contain all your work from the first file and you will get what you wanted with consistency.
