"Apply Translation" / Ctrl+T has stopped working

Question

Hi! 
 I'm in the Editor view of Trados Studio 2015 Freelancer, and all of a sudden the "Apply Translation" function has stopped working. Instead of confirming my TT with a nice green CM, the command moves my cursor back to the beginning of the TT segment and my translation is replaced with the ST, in other words it works as an undo command instead of a save command. 
 Can anyone tell me how to reset it so that it does what it's supposed to do?

Thank you Paul for your prompt reply! I actually solved it by playing around with the settings. I went to: Project settings\batch processing	ranslation memory updates and ticked the box next to "use information from bilingual file to update TU system fields". It's now all ok again :).

Hi Rebecca, 
 
I'd check you don't have any keyboard shortcut conflicts. So close all other applications first and make sure that you only have Studio running... this should include any background processes that are waiting for a command from you such as dictionary lookups, or special apps to insert accented characters for example. 
 
If it's ok at this point then add your apps back in and test until you find the one causing a conflict. 
 
If it's not ok at this point then check your keyboard shortcuts in Studio and maybe try changing the Ctrl+T command to something else and see if this helps?
