MS Word word count much lower than Studio analysis

Question

Hi! I am working on a project and found that the MS Word word count is much lower than the analysis provided by SDL Trados Studio 2014. The MS Word is 5368 but Studio shows 5761. I'm used to seeing small differences in word count analysis, but never this much, and I can't seem to figure out where this difference is coming from.
I've checked MS Word settings, Studio settings, but can't find anything that might indicate the difference.
Any idea how I can find where this discrepancy comes from?

This is sometimes quite a tricky thing to put your finger on. Could be related to hyphenated words, use of dates/numbers, chemical name, hyperlinks and various other things. This article might be worth a read as it might help you pick put the text that is being counted in a different way:
