SDL2017 support for 4k displays

Does anybody know if the new SDL version now supports 4k displays? I'd like to buy this version but SDL marketing people do not guarantee the solution of the  problem of SDL 2015 version (cropped menus, overlapped letters, and so on).

Thanks

  • Hi Giovanni,

We have been working on support for this in the Studio 2017 release so have every intention of supporting it. We have investigated everywhere images/icons/controls are not DPI aware and addressed them... this was not a trivial task. But if we miss something in the initial release then we will resolve it with an update.

The reason I'm saying this is because you asked for guarantees... and the only thing we can guarantee is that this is a high priority item and it is our intention to support them. Perhaps the best thing for you to do, if you want to be sure everything works as you wish is to wait for the release and then test a trial version.

    Kind regards

    Paul
