Does anyone understand this error message from Xliff Validator?

Question

Dear all, 
 At our client&rsquo;s request we are using a third-party xliff validator tool. I have followed all steps in the attached Word document up to step 17, which results in an error message. 
 I have checked and double-checked the location of the config.yml file, and to me it seems to be in the correct location. Can anyone think of any other issue that might be causing this error message? Thanks a lot for any and all help.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to look into this, Paul. We had just got back to the client about it when our own IT guy found the problem. The problem was that the program and the folders containing the xliff files weren't all in the C:\ directory. It worked fine once we had put everything in C:\. Still, not the most user friendly of programs by a long shot.

Hi Iris, 
 I followed this through, instruction by instruction, and even reluctantly installed the recommended version of Java (I hate to mess with Java!), but at the end I also get this error: 
 
 I think, in the absence of some bright spark having a better idea, that you should go back to the client who wants you to use this pretty unfriendly tool in the first place. Given I get the same problem as you it seems likely they will have come across this before and might know the answer.
