Hi Fiona (Enrique), 
 
Yes, machine translation can be used for fuzzy match repair. It looks to see whether there is a TM fragment, termbase or AutoSuggest fragment match first and if there isn't and you are using machine translation then this will be used. So it prioritises the repairs based on things you have actually done before that look more likely before using MT.
