Installation SDL Trados 2015 -

Question

Hello, 
 
 I'm kind of desperate here. I installed Studio 2015 on Friday after someone on a ProZ forum told me to install in parallel, I assumed that I didn't have to return my 2014 license. So I installed and ended up at some point trying to open 2014, and I had a message saying that the version was no longer available because I installed a newer version. Then I opened SDL 2015 and for most of the former files I had I get a message (sdlixff or sdllproj) that format not supported. 
 Please let me know what I should do. I have sent back my 2014 license and re-installed it. Should I send back all my licenses and start over from scratch. I need help. 
 I get all sorts of messages from component not installed to whatever. Suggestions welcome.

Hi Johanne,

Could you try the following solution:

Please close Studio, then go to Control Panel - Programs and Features - find Studio 2015 in the list of programs - right click and select REPAIR

The process should be the same in Windows (7/8.1/10) versions.
Once Repair is completed, please restart your PC and start the Studio again.

In reply to our direct email communications am more than happy to organise a webex with you. 
As you have upgraded from 2014 to 2015- the license that you should be using now is the 2015 version. 
Through the upgrade process, the 2014 version will no longer be valid.
