Embedded Contents vs. Translatable Attributes

Question

I have an XML file where I need to translate certain attributes in certain elements, and I also need the embedded content processor. When I turn on embedded content processing, I lose the translateable attributes. It seems as if you can EITHER use the embedded content processor OR you can define translatable attributes. Any idea anyone?

The embedded content processor doesn't work on attributes... but last time I tried this you could still use the embedded processing on the elements. Are you using a different filetype to process the content, or the legacy regex based processor? I haven't experienced loss of extraction altogether, but perhaps this is reason? I can't test it right now or I would do!!
