SDL Trados Studio 2015 SR2 CU7 is now live!

This is to let you know that we have just released Cumulative Update 7 (CU7) for SDL Trados Studio 2015 SR2. It may take some time for the update to be available globally. Once it is available for you, the prompt to download it will appear automatically when you start Studio.

Hello, Richard! I have downloaded SDL Trados Studio 2015 Service Release 2 (the window that appeared in Trados said that it was 4.2.5195.0, but after applying the update it says that it is 5195.7) Now, the problem is that everytime I open Trados there is a window that tells me to restart, which I did and do; however, when I open again the window of restarting appears again. Could you help me? I click on Accept and restart or click Accept and do nothing and the results are the same and recursive.

Dear Andrea

If the option Automatically check for updates when the application starts in SDL Trados Studio is activated, then it automatically checks for any software updates when the application starts.

I assume that the message regarding the restart is only meant for the update application not Studio itself.

If you want to avoid/disable the check for updates during every startup you can disable it in Studio via File > Options > Automatic Updates and un-ticking the option Automatically check for updates when the application starts

Thank you, Richard. I thought it was related to some kind of bug. It helps but is there any other solution? Because by un-ticking that option, our staff will not be notified when there is a new update.

Does it stop after clicking on Ok or does it go on forever? It would do it 3x for me and maybe 10x for my colleague, then stop asking. I shut down over night and today, the update finally ran correctly. So, this might just resolve itself for you by Monday.

Thank you for replying, Uta!
We tried clicking as many times as we could and it kept appearing. Thus, we delete the folder of updates and manually execute the files indicated above and it worked.
