Studio 2015 very slow after running the Verifier plugin (F8)

Question

Why is Studio 2015 so very slow when I have run the Verifier plugin (F8)? After I have created a QA report, every single edit I try takes like forever. Even when I close the QA window. I have to close and restart Studio to get normal behaviour back - until

 Can you let me know if you are referring to the Studio verifier or the SDL App store plugin as per below. 
 If so please ensure you have set messages to Brief 
 (Options/VerificationNumber Verifier Settings.

It might be worth trying some of the standard repairs in case there is a problem with some component in Studio. Can you first try a reset. Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\12.0.0.0 
 
If that doesn't help when you test again then run a repair installation through the windows control panel. 
 
If that still doesn't help then try turning off your antivirus just for a short time while you test it again in case this is impacting with the read/write of temporary files created when you run the reports. 
 
If things are still bad after all that then I think we'll need to have someone look at your machine. This certainly isn't a common issue so it has to be something specific to your environment.

 ok - would only be to test the theory. In that case you should only need to tell Bit Defender to trust Studio. I have no idea how to do that... but maybe this will help:

Hi Jan, 
 
ok - so I'm running out of suggestions. Does this happen with all your files or just this one? Maybe a lot is getting picked up, coupled with the size and content of the file, and it's just heavy going for the application? 
 
I asked the support team earlier in the week if they had any ideas and they didn't, so maybe someone in the community has come across this before and can offer some assistance?
