Can't open Studio (2011) at all anymore

Question

Hello, 
 Since this morning, I can't open Trados Studio 2011 on my computer. 
 When I click on its icon, this is the error message I get : "Project loading failed from... (project path). Error in the XML document : hexadecimal value 0x00 is not a valid character" 
 Do you know how I can fix this ? I can't reinstall the sofware as I reached the maximum number of installations.

Hi Amélie, 
 
It sounds as though you have a corrupted sdlproj file. Easiest way to fix this is to drag and drop the sdlproj into a Firefox browser and this will tell you exactly where the problem is. Then correct it in a text editor. 
 
If you're not sure how to do this drop me an email with the sdlproj for your project attached.

 Incidentally you can install the software as many times as you like! But I doubt it would help as I don't think this is the source of the problem.
