iOS strings encoding problem in SDL Trados Studio 2015

Question

I am testing the translation process of iOs strings in SDL Trados Studio 2015 and have noticed that the strings imported into Studio are not UTF8. 
 
 Here is what I did: 
 - I took the Italian iOs *.strings file I received from the programmer (and which is in UTF8) and 
 - created a new file type following these instructions: http://producthelp.sdl.com/kb/Articles/4908.html 
 - The imported strings are all showing in the Editor, but the coding is wrong: "&Atilde;&uml;" instead of "&egrave;" etc. 
 
 Any workarounds or ideas welcome! ;-)

Hi Sabina, 
 Have you tried using the encoding option here: 
 
 The problem with text filetypes is there is no way to specify UTF-8 in the file itself and have this recognised, so Studio looks for the presence of a BOM to determine the correct encoding. If you add a BOM it will probably be ok, or if you use this option when you select your files it will be ok.
