Hi Everyone,
I can't use Google Translate on my Studio. It says "error 403 (Forbidden)". Any suggestions, please?
Best,

Hi Kalemba,
I would think this is related to the API and the usage limits
The following KB article should help- kb.sdl.com/
Google Translate is an automated translation service provided by Google. This is a paid-for service. It performs translation without any human input to the process. The languages supported for translation are defined by Google Translate and may change at any time. Some restrictions may apply depending on the operating system you are using.
Please note that using Google Translate may violate your non-disclosure agreement with your translation customer. Check with your customer prior to connecting to this translation provider. The use of Google Translate is recorded in the SDL XLIFF bilingual file during translation.
To use Google Translate, you need to set up a Google account, enable the Google Translate API and create an API key:
You can only use one API key at a time in Studio. If you add or change the API key in one project, the updated key will be used for all other projects using Google Translate.
To view or change usage limits for your project, or to request an increase to your quota, do the following:
Go to the Google Developers Console.
Select a project, or create a new one.
In the sidebar on the left, expand APIs & auth.
Click APIs.
Click the name of an activated API you're interested in.
Near the top of the info page for the API, click Quota.
If you have enabled billing for your project, clicking Quota takes you to a page where you can view and change quota-related settings.
If you have not enabled billing for your project, clicking Quota shows information about any free quota and limits that apply to this API.
Please let me know if this resolves the problem
Kind regards
Steve

This error is one we used to see in 2009/2011 with the old Google API and the old versions of Studio. It was related to Google setting restrictions on the calls to its Google Translate API. If you were using the Google Translate API too frequently within Studio then you were banned from using the API for a short while... leaving it for a while and trying again normally resolved the problem.
What version of Studio are you using?

I had the same problem for over a month. As it turns out, my credit card had expired and billing was deactivated in Google. Everything came back to normal after I reactivated billing.
