Dear experts,
Can you please tell me how to create a file type for txlf (wordfast 4 file) so that I can translate txlf files in Studio? Many thanks.

Ivan

Hi Ivan,
Did you try adding *.txlf to the XLIFF filetype? I did this at the ATA last week and seemed to work just fine. I believe TXLF is based on XLIFF so that will probably be fine. If it's not it would be good to know what's missing and we can address it with a custom version of the XLIFF filter.

I just noticed I didn't respond to you here... long time ago now! If you still haven't resolved this can you make sure tha you are maing the change in the right place... so pay attention to Project Settings vs File -> Options.
If you're adding the txlf file to an existing project then you need to make the change in your Project Settings. If it's a new project then it's in File -> Options. Exception would be if you're using Project Templates in which case you make the change in your Project Templates and pay attention because if you create your project based on a previous project then this will only work if the Project Settings for your previous project contained the txlf filetype.
