Studio 2015_ can't open the package and the sdliff files.

I  just downloaded 2015 (before I have 2014) and I have this error message:   can't open the package (and the file) because there are languages which are not configured for this installation.  Thanks for your help.

  • Hi Lucie,

It sounds as though the package you have been sent uses languages that you don't have set up on your computer. Perhaps it's a multilingual project and you only need one pair? You can check this by opening the package in the Package Reader:

    multifarious.filkin.com/.../

Or you can unzip the package and take a look inside. Once you've established the problem, and if it is down to languages being present that you don't have then you have two options at least:

    1. email your client and ask them to prepare the package for your languages only
    2. unzip the package and translate the relevant sdlxliff files in your own project. Then send the translated sdlxliff files back to your client

This second option probably also needs agreement from your client as they may, or may not, be ok with this solution. Depends on how comfortable they are manipulating files with the software.

    Regards
