Error message when opening glossary in Trados 2017: "Value cannot be null / Parameter name: key"

I have just installed SDL Studio Trados 2017 (I didn't have Trados before). When I try to insert a glossary for use, the message  "Value cannot be null / Parameter name: key" appears. I have found a correction for Trados 2015, but of course it doesn't work for 2017. Where is the problem? What do I have to do? Thanks.

  • Hi Stéphanie,

I'm guessing this could be caused by a couple of things. Maybe try opening the termbase in MultiTerm first which may update an old version, and then close MultiTerm and rename the termbase with an *sdltb extension.

It might also be a problem with windows so you should make sure you have the latest service pack for your operating system installed.

If none of this gets you anywhere can you share your termbase with me? You can make it available to pfilkin@sdl.com and I'll take a look and see if I can do anything with it.

    Kind regards

    Paul
