PLACEABLES NOT RECOGNIZED IN TRADOS 2017

Hello!! 
 I'm working on a document in my new Trados 2017 and no placeables are recognized at all!! 
 Has anybody experienced this before?? 
 What could it be???

Apologies for the dumb questions.... 
 
- have you got a TM attached and enabled? 
- are you using a Termbase? 
- what is the source text you are expecting to be recognised? 
 
A little more information would be helpful to help narrow down where the problem is coming from once we know what you mean by placeables?
