Missing Alignment Editor view in SDL 2014

Question

Hi everyone! 
 
 This is my first time in the SDL Community, not sure whether this is the good place to ask that question, but anyway: 
 I have this problem with the Alignment function: When I try to align 2 documents, for some reason, I don't have access to the Alignment Editor View! There is one step missing, namely the step where the Alignment result can be edited, the links disconnected and reconnected etc. Here the result of the Alignment is directly saved into the TM without this step, as a result of which the TM is full of misaligned segments.... 
 Has anyone heard of this kind of problem and/or knows how to solve it?

Hi Nils, 
 I moved your post into here, which is the right place :-) 
 I think you need to insert an image from a file and not copy/paste. So use the rich formatting option when you respond and then you'll be able to do this: 
 
 Once in there use the Insert options from the menu to select an image.

Not sure to understand what you're talking about, after all I'm brand new in here :-) 
Do you mean that I should insert a picture (i.e. a screenshot?) in my question to make it clearer?

My bad I think... I thought the gaps in your post were because you copy pasted an image and didn't read it slowly enough. 
 
Are you using the Align single pair or adding a pair of files to the Align documents command? If the latter perhaps you are just saving the alignment file somewhere and then not opening it?
