I've been asked by someone in SDL to post my query here. I hope you'll be able to solve my problem.

As a translation agency, we are using SDL Studio 2015 SR2 for our translations. I've been asked by one of our clients to translate .xlf files, something we regularly do for him.

Yet, I received last week a batch containing 24 files, and I am experiencing problems with 2 of them.

When I want to create a project, or even simply translate thes 2 files in standalone, I receive the following message :

“The document cannot be processed since it contains unexpected contents.”

My client, who's acquainted as well with the use of Studio, told me he performed all the necessary checks as far as the official XML scheme that defines the structure of the XLIFF files - version 1.2 is concerned. Everything is fine according to him.

The XLIF files version is 1.2 strict (I don't know if it makes a difference from the other standard).

I also don't know if what I am telling you makes sense. If not, feel free to get back to me for further details.

If it does, could you help me solve this issue?
