After upgrade from Studio 2014 to 2017, project list is now empty

I successfully upgraded from Studio 2014 to 2017 today, but my project list is blank (except for the demo project). How I can I  get my previous projects back onto the list? I think this may relate to the file projects.xml.

In order to avoid this happening in the future, I suggest you store your projects in a custom folder of your choice instead of using the default folder (./documents/Studio 2014/...), which changes with every version of Studio.

This way, you 'll know exactly where you can find your projects.
The project list will however still be empty after you have upgraded, but that should not be a problem, because you might be happy to not see all the 200 projects you have already completed. And the projects you still need to work on can easily be retrieved using the command "Open project".
