Just installed Studio 2017 on Windows 7, after Migration utility use to migrate my data from Studio 2015, always error message!

Just installed Studio 2017 on Windows 7 and was everything perfect! The drama began when I used the Migration utility to migrate my data from Studio 2015! After executing it, always when I started Studio 2017, I receive error message, and then Studio is not starting at all. Now I uninstalled Studio 2017 in order to have a clean new installation, and now I  have this same error message also before even to use the migration utility.

Does this mean now I will not be able to use Studio 2017 at all, because I have no idea how to resolve this if I have this error even now after a second new installation. It is very sad that there is no working import function for such a costly program:

  • Hi Berthold,

I don't think Qualitivity in itself is a problem. It's only when migrating you gate an issue because the installer puts the plugins into the local folder and the migration tool uses roaming. So you end up with duplication. If you make sure these folders do not have qualitivity installed then you won't have a problem when you install it again:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14\Plugins\Packages\
    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14\Plugins\Unpacked\

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14\Plugins\Packages\
    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14\Plugins\Unpacked\

    c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14\Plugins\Packages\
    c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14\Plugins\Unpacked\

    Regards
