Is it possible to import single file project into new project?

Question

Hi 
 I just got a pdf from a client. I translated the word doc original in 2014 when using sdl trados 2014. Now working with 2015. Anyway, how can I import this single file project that I used in 2014 into a new big project as this document will probably be updated again and I can't make it work so that the automatch does the pretranslate. Any ideas? Help really urgently needed.

found the issue. Basically I somehow managed to create a project that wasn't saved in projects but directly in studio 2014 like a single file project - and then the system obviously put the file God knows where. What I did in the end was the rough and very manual workaround approach: as i had the German original, and had translated the new English file, I created an alignment file. Not too difficult, as it was an item by item set of Articles of Association. Then I created a brand new project and used the termbase into which I had saved the alignment. I guess I must have done something when setting up the projects in the first place, or dabbled with the folders outside of Studio - I still can't quite understand why studio 2015 still saves everything into studio 2014 anyway. I am forever looking for stuff. Thanks very much for your time and sorry that you had to bear with this chaotic woman who might be a good translator but isn't necessarily that well versed with SDL. :)

Hi Sabine, 
 I would add the new, updated file to the project by going to Files and then selecting the source language, right-clicking on the project and 'Add Files'. Then, pre-translate that project, adding the previously translated SDLXLIFF as PerfectMatch.
