Hello, 
 I have problem with Trados Studio Freelance 2017 while preparing an .xlf file after adding it to an existing project. The file is listed as "Reference" and there are no batch tasks available. Any help? Thanks.

If it's been seen as a reference file and not a source file then you probably need to check the file itself as this suggests there is something about the file preventing recognition as this format. 
 
However, can I just confirm that you are trying to access the batch tasks to prepare this file from the source language, and not from the target?
