Project gone from Trados 2015

 Hello

Yesterday I started working on a project with two documents, finished one document and closed Trados. Today, to my surprise, when I opened Trados to go back to work the project was gone from the projects list. All my filters are configured to show all projects, so it was really gone. Thankfully I always create a delivery project and save it on my google docs just in case, so I was able to open the original project + my delivery project to retrieve the 100% translated document, but all my entries are gone from the memory and I'll have to work on the second, untranslated document from scratch.

Yesterday I organized some folders in the same folder my project is located, but didn't move the project folder (I just moved folders from older, finished projects), maybe this had something to do with it?

If anyone could help me I would be glad.

Thanks in advance.

  • Hello Leticia,

Where do you normally save your Projects? The default location is here:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2015\Projects\

So you should find your projects and the projects.xml file in this location.

If you move your projects in windows then Studio has no idea where they have gone, so perhaps the solution is to search for the sdlxliff files on your hard drive and see if you can locate them. Then you'll also find the sdlproj file which you can use to add the project back into your list.

    Regards
