Its always useful if you can tell us which file type you are using and possibly provide screenshots, so we can see what might be the cause.

Just to eliminate the basics- can you confirm you have activated both the preview and data options-

And that you have linked to the project/media path

Please go to File Options -File Types

Then make sure you have the SRT file type enabled (the second one in your list) - should be as follows

Then recreate your project.

Thanks for the tip. Instead of creating a project by browsing for the file, I dragged it onto Trados.
