As you may be aware, Microsoft ends support for Windows 7 today (January 14 2020). What does that mean for you?
- From a Windows perspective, updates and support will no longer be available from Microsoft. Over time, this will leave your computer vulnerable to security issues and you will be unable to get technical assistance from Microsoft in the event of problems. Microsoft recommends updating to Windows 10 as soon as possible.
- From a MultiTrans perspective, we continue our policy of discontinuing support for unsupported third-party products. Don’t worry – MultiTrans will not stop running on your Windows 7 machine! However, as development continues and newer components are added to MultiTrans, there is a risk that these will not function correctly on Windows 7. No further product testing is done on Windows 7, and if any issues specific to this operating system are identified, they will not be corrected.
We of course join Microsoft in encouraging you to update your operating systems and continue to apply the latest updates as they become available from both Microsoft and SDL MultiTrans.
