Communication Feature between Customer and Project Manager

Currently any updates to projects can be provided through some automated notifications, but any communications outside of this have to be handled outside of the system, by email. It would be great if MultiTrans could have a communication system that enabled customers to communicate directly with assigned Project Managers. This would be useful to keep everything in one place - searchable, timestamped with a full audit trail.

It doesn't necessarily have to be an instant chat feature (although that might be useful), but primary goal to capture all back and forth communications between customer and project manager. This could also potentially be extended for communications between project manager and providers.

The idea would be that the customer works in their portal and can communicate any updates at a project level. The project manager would work in their portal and could respond. All updates triggering notifications. As much as having live project statues and instructions etc in a portal, there is always a need for additional communication.
