SDL TMS 11.0 | SDL TMS 11.0 Release Announcement (November 2015)

We are pleased to announce the General Availability of SDL TMS 11.0. This major version release delivers significant improvements driven by our user community as well as more modern & intuitive user interface.

What innovations are in this release?

User Interface update:

  • Carbon 2.0 look & feel and icon refresh
  • Naming convention harmonization

User Experience productivity improvements:

  • Enhanced Inbox functionality
  • Redesign of Job Details & Costing screens
  • Save As New option for Configurations
  • Support for Minimum Cost per Language when defining a Cost Model

API extensions:

  • Refactored API for SDL Enrich/Acrolinx integration
  • New API calls for an improved integration with SDL Web 8
  • Integrated API documentation for easy access for developers

Filter Update:

  • aligned with SDL Trados Studio 2015 SR1

Numerous defects addressed:

  • In the area of Preprocessing, API, and system operation
  • Web security hardening

Note:
In this version of SDL TMS, the following browsers are officially supported:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer® 9, 10, 11
  • Mozilla Firefox® 31 ESR

Prerequisites:

This release is available via an upgrade installer which will update your version of SDL TMS to the current release.
Note that the installation of .NET Framework 4.5.2 is a prerequisitie for installing SDL TMS 11.0, and this MUST be done before beginning your SDL TMS upgrade.

Installation and upgrade process: 

SDL-hosted customers should contact SDL Support to arrange for a hotfix to be deployed.

Customers who host SDL TMS themselves should download the installer for SDLTMS11.0.iso from the following FTP site: ftp://sdlpatches:5dlpatch35@ftp-emea.sdlproducts.com/SDL%20TMS/11.0 

After upgrade users are advised to refresh your browser cache after every SDL TMS upgrade.
