SDL TMS 11.0 | The Job Summary screen fails or takes too long to open

Symptoms:
After upgrading to SDL TMS 11.0, it was not possible to open the Job Summary page for jobs containing many tasks. After an initial fix, for jobs that contain many language pairs, the issue was still not solved.

Explanation:
One of the stored procedures used to return data on the Job Summary page was taking a long time to return the necessary data.

Resolution:
The current fix provides with optimizations to this specific stored procedure, increasing significantly the system performance and therefore, allowing the Job Summary page to open correctly for jobs containing many tasks and many language pairs. Note that the fix delivered with the initial optimizations is not a prerequisite to this installer, as the optimizations are cumulative.

SDL-hosted customers should contact SDL Support to arrange for a hotfix to be deployed.

Customers who host SDL TMS themselves should download the installer for SDLTMS11.0 Hotfix for TMS-8323_optimized.exe from the following FTP site:ftp://sdlpatches:5dlpatch35@ftp-emea.sdlproducts.com/SDL TMS/11.0/Hotfix.

Note:
This issue was introduced with the SDL TMS 11.0 release. In a few remaining cases, when a job contains a total number of tasks that generates a very high number of segments, the time to calculate and populate the Translation Progress pie chart is still too long and the Job page still fails to load.

The solution to this remaining issue will be released as part of the next SDL TMS release at the end of February 2015. As this solution is not a candidate for a hotfix, the current alternative, only for those few cases, is to disable the pie chart calculation.

In order to do that, a solution is provided in SDLTMS11.0 Hotfix for TMS-8796.exe from the following FTP site: ftp://sdlpatches:5dlpatch35@ftp-emea.sdlproducts.com/SDL TMS/11.0/Hotfix.

Once deployed, please liaise with the SDL Support team to get this option (to hide the pie chart) activated.
