Hi!
When I open my termbase in Multiterm, I cannot edit entries because the EDIT and SAVE buttons are deactivated. How can I activate them to work with my termbase?
When I right-click on any term in the list in MultiTerm, the edit option is also deactivated.
I also cannot find any instructions on how to add pictures or images for particular terms. A link to a detailed guide would be very appreciated.

It sounds as though you are using the default layout which doesn't use the old fashioned way to edit or save. You just work directly in the term itself:
When you have made your edit you save it here just by hitting the enter key or clicking on the tick:
